Red lipstick is daring and fun! There’s no doubt about it. I’m giving away ‘Nars Vesuvio’ to a few ladies who tell me why they’re up for being daring and bold in red lipstick, so we can be daring and fun together. Just leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
I know what you’re saying – “Can I pull this off?”, “It’s too bright”, “Will red work on my skin tone good?” The answer is “just try it!”, and as the pictures show, this shade of red looks great on a United Nations segment of women, so it’s likely to work for you too.
Here are some before and afters of ladies who don’t usually wear red lipstick, but were up for trying it.
Ms. P here doesn’t even wear makeup, but a little hair zhusing and a red lip, and voila! Instant glam!
Ms. S has one orangey red lipstick and she loves this one.
I’ve been meaning to buy Nars Charlotte which is a darker red (seen here http://wp.me/p5C7hM-RH) for almost a year now, but this turned out to be my first one. My risqué lipstick right now is MAC ‘D for Danger’ (paired with MAC Beet lip Pencil) which is bright pink. From my red lipstick research I also really like Smash Box Disorderly.
Here are 3 other ladies with 3 different styles, and skin tones looking fab in the same lipstick:
You can pull this off too. I’ve been there with the red issues, but my millennial sister told me to stop being ridiculous and just try it. Turns out trying red lipstick is soooo much less painful than childbirth. So it’s not that serious.

December 12, 2016 at 5:50 pmI have been battling Breast Cancer since May and have lost my hair, eyebrows and lashes. It has been very difficult to feel good and feminine during this journey. I think this lipstick would represent “Cancer, you got to go”… and I can look fabulous no matter what!!!!

December 10, 2016 at 3:07 amMandy, I’m way too pregnant to be ‘hot’ but that color is really pretty on me. I’m definitely gonna get that lipstick. Thanks for letting me be a part of your red lips group experiment 🙂

December 7, 2016 at 3:56 amFirst of all of you ladies are beautiful in your natural state, but I must say that lipstick sure brightens things up. (Congratulations Sherry! Hi Lora! Lady in the bold necklace, you look GREAT! I recognise you from your first interview!) I don’t wear makeup though I am partial to mascara and lipstick (subtle shades). I like red lipstick – on other people – I have a small face and I’ve always thought that bold colours would ‘overload’ my features so I’m never without my Burt’s Bees lip balm (Yes, I’m addicted!) HOWEVER! NARS Charlotte looked stunning on you Mandy, and I really thought that that would be the red I’d try, but NARS Vesuvio really compliments all these ladies’ skin tones so I’m game! Pick me! #NARSVesuvio!

December 8, 2016 at 8:02 pmBold colors will not overload your petite face. The red will make a statement – small but mighty!:)

December 7, 2016 at 3:13 amStop playing and just ‘randomly’ select me…cause it’s obvious that shade of red has my name written all over it 🙂
